Level Head is a new exhibition by Portland artist Douglas Burns at Well Well Projects, opening this November. Made as a tribute to his children, the show features collaged paintings that at times incorporate his kids’ drawings and direct collaborations. The work explores family, memory, and shared creativity by blending everyday materials with the spontaneity of childhood mark-making. Level Head offers an intimate look at what happens when the boundaries between making art and making a life become wonderfully blurred.
